The tried and tested true way to attaining and keeping wealth is through production. What the hell do we produce anymore ? No, we would rather import more than we export. We’re slaves.
What is EQ (what is it now…third extansion?) if not buying your own TBs ? Why would they do that if other nations collect our bonds? Is there any crisis at all…let me guess–>we do not spend enough money? Do you think those “exile” dollars will come back when they figure out they are worthless? Will that so cause inflation or is that just “ghost-thinking….like EQ? Maybe there is no crisis? Lack of trust at all? Not enough debt I guess….
You guys do know that the Feds only control short term interest rates. China and Japan buys US Treasury bonds like crazy, which pushes down long term interest rates. Not to mention the effects of globalization that created wealth in many places in the world. These wealth were then invested into the US, increasing money supply so much that anyone can get a loan. The Feds didnt do this on its own, there were also many other factors.
Playing Monopoly as the banker with no rules is like the Federal Reserve:
The player whose the banker at any time gives anyone player multiples of $500. They hide the transfers. Imagine how hard it is to bankrupt (beat) another player who allies with this cheating banker. How fun is this game?
After some time of playing this monopoly, a wise player calls a vote to see everything the banker does so there is no cheating. But, the banker slips players 4X $500 not to shoot down the audit vote
And almost every other politician said ‘they had no idea a recession was coming’. Have you noticed how almost everything costs 2-4 times more than 10-15 years ago? And now, many other countries are stopping to use the US$ as their reserve currency and in trade. They’re stopping to buy our debt. We’ve nearly TRIPLED the amount of dollars that exist in the last 4 years, with ZERO increase in population / productivity. That inflation you’re looking for will be in full effect by the end of the year.

The annual rate of inflation as of June 2012 was 1.66%. Monthly inflation was 0% in June 2012. -.3% in May 2012.
Where is the hyperinflation they predicted in this video? Nowhere. They were both wrong.
